About Me:

Basically, I am a journalist as well as an educationalist, but some people know me as a poet, a researcher, a writer, a columnist, a social worker and at the same time others know me as a legal advisor, a taxation expert and a businessman. I believe in learning… learning… learning more at one side and sharing… sharing… sharing knowledge at the other side. I believe that reading, writing and teaching can change this planet into paradise. I am interested in contributing to a more just and enlightened society.
At Danish Academy, I transfer knowledge and experiences which I have learned and earned during my 55 years of age. I help young writers, amateur poets and journalists to understand new phenomena and to develop their inherited intuitional powers.

At Monthly “BUSINESS PROMOTION” Karachi, I help businesses to boost up. And at “RIGHT LAW & BUSINESS ADVISORS”, I provide legal assistance and corporate taxation consultancy to our clients and earn for my family’s butter and bread.
My time with newspapers and magazines, such as the Daily “JANG” Karachi, Daily “HURRIYAT” Karachi and the Daily “MUSALMAN” Karachi has given me precious experience in print media. Having worked at the JANG as a Translator, Sub Editor at Districts Desk, at the HURRIYAT as an Article writer, Columnist, Magazine Editor and Executive Editor, at the MUSALMAN, in the capacity of City Editor, Editor, Managing Editor, and lastly Chief Editor, I have exposed myself to a variety of duties, responsibilities and challenges. I understand the pressures of writing and editing under deadline, I write and edit articles in diverse tones, modes, techniques and genre. I know how to limit myself, such as when to stop working on an article or when not to make an edit. Most important, I have learned that I enjoy working in a creative journalistic environment, in both an editing and a writing capacity. Since I enjoy and practice both, I feel in a capable position to pursue them equally. My studies, too, are preparing me to pursue print journalism. As a member of the Faculty of Urdu Literature, I take one class thrice a week, meet with working writers and amateur writers and young poets, and let them know about modern visualizing and writing techniques. The concentration provides the theoretical counterweight to my practical experience with the Weekly RAAY: through writing classes, I practice the craft of long-form journalism, with more time, more revisions, and more word length than a weekly newspaper can allow. For these reasons, I know I would both learn from and contribute to the DANISH ACADEMY as a faculty member and Managing Principal. I relish the opportunity to help students, fresh journalists and amateur poets and columnists.
