Ahsan Butt has written the first book in Urdu on the modern State of Israel entitled "Jadeed Israel ki Tareekh" (A History of Modern Israel). Ahsan Butt has translated more than 50 books from English into Urdu. Those books were written by world's most renowned writers such as Noam Chomsky, Khushwant Singh, Karen Armstrong, Anthony Robins, J. A. Cuddon and Osho; Ahsan Butt have translated the books of former US president Jimmy Carter and former Indian president A. P. J. Abdulkalam and the former US attorney general Ramsey Clark. Ahsan Butt has worked with GEO TV in 2007 as Script Editor, and translated the script of "Ten Commandments" into Urdu. This film has been televised on GEO TV. Ahsan Butt has translated 50 episodes of documentary series "Islam ka Safar" (The Journey of Islam). Ahsan Butt has edited the Urdu translation of the scripts of drama serials "Angel Face" and "Habibi and Habibah" and translated almost half of the episodes too. Ahsan Butt has translated the script of film "His Girl's Friday". Ahsan Butt has worked with GEO TV again as Script Editor from July 2008 to March 2009 and translated the scripts of these films: Ben Hur All the President's Men Kingdom of Heaven Titanic Ahsan Butt has also translated documentaries based on lectures of Turkish preacher Haroon Yahiya for GEO TV.
